Kebutuhan Kalsium Manusia

– Bayi < 6 bulan = 400mg/hari
– Bayi 6 bulan – 3 tahun = 600mg/hari
– Usia 3 – 10 tahun = 800mg/ hari
– Usia 10 – 13 tahun = 1000 mg/hari
– Usia 13 – 16 tahun = 1200 mg/hari
– Pekerja Keras = 1000mg/hari
– Ibu hamil dan menyusui = 1200mg/hari
– Manula dan wanita menopause = 1200mg/hari

Jika kebutuhan kalsium kita sebesar 1000mg/hari, maka kita mengkonsumsi diantaranya:

– 2 gallon susu; atau
– 11,5 kg bayam dan 11,5 kg brokoli; atau
– 11,5 kg kubis

Sumber lain:
– 13 kg daging sapi
– 5 kg daging kambing
– 7 kg daging ayam
– 8 kg nasi
